Description
Drilling started on a new Hidalgo County wildcat, the Arkansas Fuel Oil Company Number 1 J. B. Heard. Scenes around Denton County's Deep Wildcat Test. Dick Snell, derrickman, wearing steel safety hat which are seen on virtually all drilling crews now. Records show they have saved many a broken head. Published in Fort Worth Star-Telegram, morning edition, December 28, 1941.
