Miss Mary E. Switzer has been employed by the government for twenty years. Her civil service rating has allowed her to survive changes in administration. She had a close association with former President Hoover and Secretary of the Treasury Mellon. For Mellon and his successor Ogden Mills, Miss Switzer acted as press intelligence secretary. Miss Switzer is wearing a wide-brimmed hat, a lace dress and a corsage.
