Description
Mrs. Corinne Ellen Birdsong is known as the "Mother of the First District, P. T. A." and is the lifetime historian of the organization. Few women have been active in the P. T. A. longer than she has, and none have attended more meetings, conferences, or national conventions. Mrs. Birdsong, eighty-one, currently lives with her daughter Mrs. J. C. Granville. Mrs. Birdsong is sitting at a desk, reading the newspaper. She is wearing a dark dress with lace around the collar. Published Fort Worth Star-Telegram Morning Edition September 11, 1941.
