Description

Image shows Gilmore Fry is the new monkey trainer at the Forest Park Zoo. He and his little animal family moved in last week. His household consists of a spider monkey, a pigtail monkey, and a nervous baboon. Mr. Fry and his animals put on a show every afternoon. He is a Texas barn farm boy and has been showing animals for forty years. He worked in three circuses, twenty state fairs, six carnivals, 500 schools, and one other zoo. Mr. Fry is wearing a dress shirt, necktie, trousers, and suspenders. He is standing beside a monkey in the monkey house. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition August 11, 1941.
