Engaged in a military training exercise are Private W. D. Morris, of Gilmer, Texas, right, Corporal Mack Williams, left, and Sergeant Horace Harpold, center, both of Dallas, Texas. All three are from the second battalion of the 144th Infantry, 36th Division. They are standing in the middle of a field, wearing their military uniforms. Sergeant Harpold is wearing sunglasses. He and Corporal Williams are holding rifles and Private Morris is carrying a large flag.
