Description
Civic and club leaders this year for the first time are seeing first hand the urgency behind the Goodfellows' annual appeal for contributions to give those in lesser circumstances a Christmas to remember for the other 364 days in the year. Mrs. Berta Womack, president of the Zonta Club, shown with a little 4 year old boy to be helped by the Goodfellows. They are both sitting at a small dining table in a house that is in poor condition. There are dirty dishes on the table. The child is wearing dirty, pin striped coveralls and has a sad expression on his face. He has his hands clasped together in his lap, as if anxious. Mrs. Womack is sitting behind him, looking at him and smiling. Mrs. Womack is dressed nicely, wearing a hat, fur stole, gloves, and a dark colored dress.
