Description

Lake Fannin and Lake Davey Crockett in the north portion of Fannin County and about 15 miles from Bonham, are beauty spots with recreational facilities that have grown in popularity. Lake Fannin covers about 53 acres of land and Lake Davey Crockett about 450 acres. Both are open for fishing, boating, and swimming and accommodations for guests. Both lakes are in the Northeast Texas Land Utilization Project established by the Soil Conservation Service. In this picture is the bathing beach at Lake Davey Crockett. There are three men standing and looking over the lake. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram.
