Description
Lake Fannin and Lake Davey Crockett in the north portion of Fannin County and about 15 miles from Bonham, are beauty spots with recreational facilities that have grown in popularity. Lake Fannin covers about 53 acres of land and Lake Davey Crockett about 450 acres. Both are open for fishing, boating, and swimming and accommodations for guests. Both lakes are in the Northeast Texas Land Utilization Project established by the Soil Conservation Service. In this picture is the Main lodge at Lake Fannin. It is a one story building with two chimneys and several windows and entrance doors. There are big trees in the backyard. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram.
