Description
Manuel Gondra, freshman engineering student from Asuncion, Paraguay, studying at the University of Texas wades through his textbooks with the aid of a Spanish-English dictionary. Manual has a scholarship and a free round-trip passage on Pan American Airways. He will return to Paraguay, after completing his education, and work for the Anderson Clayton Company. Mr. Gondra is sitting at his desk with a book in hand. On the desk there is a typewriter and books. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition, October 19, 1940.
