College students from all over Texas are attending the third annual pre-school conference of the Baptist Student Union of Texas. Walking through the Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary left to right are, Miss Mildred Cariker, Ed Smith, Miss Hazel Perkison, Dexter Riddle, and Louise Johnson. Miss Mildred Cariker of Nacogdoches, Texas attends Stephen F. Austin State Teachers College. She is wearing a frilly blouse and a polka-dot skirt. Mr. Smith of Marshall, Texas is a student at Texas A&M. He is dressed in button-up shirt with cuffed sleeves, a necktie, and trousers. Miss Perkison of Stamps, Arkansas, is enrolled in the seminary. She is wearing a collared blouse with a gingham skirt. Mr. Riddle of Abilene, Texas, is a 1940 graduate of Hardin-Simons University. He is dressed in a checkered shirt, necktie, and striped trousers. Miss Johnson of Dallas, Texas, is a student at Southern Methodist University. She is wearing a patterned dress.
