Description
Miss Gloria Byrns, of Port Arthur, Texas, was selected to be Miss Texas, and will compete for the title of Miss America in September, 1940. She was given the Miss Texas title when she was crowned to preside over the fourth annual Health Festival at Mineral Wells, Texas. Miss Byrns is wearing a swimsuit and standing at the edge of a pool. She has a "Miss Texas" sash over her swimsuit and she is holding her title trophy. There are two unidentified people swimming in the pool.
