Football Texas Christian University football player Ray Standley, 210-pound guard, pictured here at a soda fountain turning down a milkshake he must give up for football. Mr. Standley is wearing a long-sleeved button-down shirt and is leaning on his left arm against a counter while his right hand is raised, waving off the drink. On the counter are two cups full of liquid and an empty tray. Behind Mr. Standley, two doors, a ceiling fan, and a large dresser can be seen inside the shop. Star-Telegram Evening, September 5 1940.
