Description
Image of Ben Melton, rookie pitcher up from the East Texas League, looked "fair" in the Fort Worth Cats' firsst intrasquad game at the Marshall training camp. Melton, despite on a losing team, "Carl Knott", took out six batters before running into an issue in the thrd inning. Published in Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition March 10, 1940.
