Description

The Southwestern Exposition and Track Meet kicked off Friday in Fort Worth, Texas. Participating in the college events is Blaine Rideout, a sprinter from North Texas State Teachers College. Rideout is running the college mile. He is crossing the finish line without any challengers in sight. The other kids are about 150 yards behind Rideout. He is dressed in a sleeveless shirt, paper number, and shorts. There is a crowd watching on the sidelines. Rideout will graduate from college this spring with his twin brother Wayne. Both men plan to attend graduate school.
