Description

A bid of 40 cents a pound bought this grand champion baby beef of the West Central Texas Livestock Show at Abilene. The bid was placed by Bob Westbrook, manager of the Wooten Hotel, shown standing back of the steer with its owner, A. E. Fogle Junior, an Future Farmers of America boy from Tuscila. Young Fogle purchased the mother of this calf from W. J. Largent and bred and fitted the calf for the show. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram evening edition, February 16, 1940.
