S.M.U. vs. Notre Dame football game. Spectators include (front row, left to right, man at extreme left is unidentified) Countess of Maille and Mrs. Amon G. Carter; back row, left to right, Mrs. Jack Krindler, New York, and Sid Richardson of Fort Worth. More than 75,000 fans came to the 1949 game between Notre Dame and SMU at the Cotton Bowl. Notre Dame won the Cotton Bowl 27-20.
