Description
Miss Billye Mallette is the chairman of the Bench Boot Makers Contest for the Southwestern Shoetricians Convention. She is shown inspecting the contest entries. The boots she is wearing are hand-embroidered English pig and Central American lizard. They took a total of eight days to make. The boot she is holding is from a kangaroo and was turned out by an eighteen year old boot maker, who is trying his luck with the old-timers. The Cowboy boots will be exhibited at the Hotel Texas. In addition to the boots, Miss Mallet is wearing a floral dress with a belt around her waist.
