    Description

Texas National Guard maneuvers in Louisiana. Louisiana mud was quickly washed from National Guard trucks Thursday when the first motor equipment returned from the war maneuvers. These three trucks, a motor section carrying communications equipment for Headquarters Company, One Hundred and Forty-fourth Infantry, are shown beside their armory at 201 East Lancaster Avenue soon after arrival. Most of the men are in fatigue uniform, the clothing they wear when working on the vehicles. Standing at the side of the first truck is Sergeant H. D. Slaughter, in charge of the section. In the first machine are Privates Wise, Barron and Rudd, driver, assistant driver and mechanic, respectively. In the second machine are Privates Wright and Blackshear, and in the third is Private Lee. Standing in the third vehicle is Private Copeak, assistant driver,.
