Description

Fort Worth's only state Class AA championship winners, Paschal High School's 1945 basket ball team, admire trophy which made belated arrival. Left to right, top row Corky Stewart, Ralph Pulley and Charles Stewart. Bottom row, left to right, Jackie Robinson, Coach Charley Turner and Bill Johnson. Two of the players are seated with the coach while the remaining stand behind. They are all dressed in suit and tie except the coach who does not wear a suit. The coach has the trophy in his hands and is seated in the center. Some of the players have their eyes on the trophy and are smiling while some smile at the camera. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram evening edition, April 29, 1948.
