Abilene Christian College vs. Texas Wesleyan College (TWC) basketball game with Doug Higgins, Bill Grounds, and Ted Nicksick. In the picture, Abilene's Grounds (12), left and Wesleyan's Higgins (3) have their arms in the air and opposite legs raised as they try to catch the ball in the air that was thrown by Wesleyan's Nicksick, right of both players. The players have their facial expression show intense participation in the game. They are all wearing their respective school jerseys with stripe socks and knee pads. There are two other unidentified players, left, running towards the ball. The TWC Rams won, 61-43.Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, January 17, 1948.
