The Lechwe newlyweds. Mr. and Mrs. Lechwe Water Buck, the newlyweds are at home on their range in Forest Park Zoo. He arrived from the Detroit Zoo last Thursday to claim his bride, a longtime Forest Park resident. Zoo Director Hamilton Hittson call them Elizabeth and Phillip. It was love at first sight. Forest Park Zoo's "Mr. and Mrs. Lechwe Waterbuck" also known as "Elizabeth and Phillip." Published in The Fort Worth Star-Telegram Morning Edition July 21, 1947.
