Description
Elmer Morriss, a severely wounded soldier from Oklahoma, being presented a $12,083.33 check contributed by admirers. From left to right are Mrs. Carrie Collier, W. W. Woodworth, Mrs. Joy Morriss, Elmer Morriss and Mrs. Kathleen Everett. In the picture Mr. and Mrs. Morris are holding the check facing forward and smiling at each other while the others either faced them or looked at the camera. The ladies are wearing knee length dresses. Mr. Morris is wearing a shirt and pants with a jacket while Mr. Woodworth is wearing suit and tie. In the background are windows with blinds.
