Description
W. N. Baber donating blood at Saint (St.) Joseph's Hospital for a transfusion for Mrs. E. S. Townsend 30 minutes after she was shot in the chest at her home. Nurse Dorothy Schneider and Doctor (Dr.) W. E. Spencer are taking the blood. Mr. Baber who accidentally shot Mrs. Townsend with what he thought was a toy pistol. In the picture, Mr. Baber is laying on the bed while the doctor sits on a stool and inserting the needle and the nurse sits on the floor holding the blood bag. The doctor and nurse are in uniforms. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram evening edition, March 25, 1947.
