Fort Worth photographers' entries in the Press Photographer Queen contest are (from left to right) Nancy Thompson, Jeanie Schow, Pat Kane, Helen Alexander, Maggie Gilliepie, Dolores Pope, Edlyn Shelton, Jean Muntz, Jean Meek and Dorothy Brown. In the picture the ladies are dressed in their bathing suits and heels. They are seated on a stage with two steps and smiling at the camera. In the background is a kitchen setup with the oven, refrigerator dishwasher, counter tops and kitchen cabinets. These ten girls will compete with a group sponsored by Dallas cameramen in Arlington, Texas to select a representative of Fort Worth -Dallas Press Photographers Association to the national Press Photographer Queen contest in Atlantic City in June. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram evening edition, March 26, 1947.
