Shown here are Fred J. Wemple Junior (Jr.), right, of Midland, Texas State Highway Commissioner, and T. C. Jones, chairman of the Fort Worth Chamber of Commerce highway department. They are sitting at a office desk and looking at a map. Mr. Jones has a pen in his hand and uses it to show points on the map. Mr. Wemple came here to speak on work and plans of the highway department. Both men are wearing glasses and dressed in suits and tie. In the background is a flowery wall paper and a picture on the wall. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram evening edition, March 24, 1947.
