Description

Neville Penrose, Camp Fire board member, is lighting candles on a cake. Watching are Blue Birds (from left) Vonnie Rae Corley, Leilani Spradling and Lyn Torrance. In the picture, there are three girls dressed in a uniform made up of a short sleeve shirt and pinafore with face caps. The girls are standing in front of a three tier cake decorated with a magician on top with his wand and a hats with candle bunny ears on the rest of the layers. The cake is placed at the center of the table and around it are little bunnies and a hat on each side with flowers in them. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition, March 23, 1947.
