Mrs. Elliott Roosevelt, floor and music chairman, Mrs. Arthur Brackett and Mrs. Thomas M. Ryan met at the home of Mrs. Ryan, 2735 Fifth Avenue, to discuss entertainment features for the Day Nursery Ball, which will be a costume affair. They are sitting on a couch, smiling and enjoying a good conversation. Mrs. Roosevelt is wearing a a collared long sleeve dress. Mrs. Brackett is wearing a dress, hat and necklace, and Mrs. Ryan is wearing a skirt with a blouse and sweater. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition, January 14, 1940.
