Description
Texas National Guard maneuvers in Louisiana. One of the chores in the life of a soldier is that of keeping his firearms well manicured. Here, left to right, Private Fred Squires, Corporal Clarence MicKinney and First Class Private Garland Holt of Company I, One Hundred Forty-second Infantry, Breckenridge, clean guns in preparation for Third Army maneuvers in Louisiana. The preliminaries for mock warfare entail as much discipline and clockwork as the real McCoy.
