Description
Tarrant County employees are illustrating the new 1947 license plates. Posing with the front and rear plates, left to right, are F. N. Menefee and Mrs. Jimmye Cantrell. Tarrant County, Texas, received 98,000 pairs of license plates to go on sale February 1, 1947. Numbers are white on a black background. Mr. Menefee is dressed in a houndstooth sports coat and trousers. Mrs. Cantrell is wearing a button-up blouse and a skirt. Boxes are stacked in the background. Mr. Menefee has his back to the camera.
