Fern Sawyer and her favorite horse, "Tony." She is holding on the reins, standing next to the horse in the field. Her popularity as a cowgirl has grown and she performs in many Southwest rodeos. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. U. D. Sawyer, ranch people of Crossroads, New Mexico. She is wearing a blouse, trousers, cowgirl hat and cowgirl boots.
