Description
Lieutenant Commander J. D. Jones Junior is a member of the United States Naval Reserves. He is disembarking a train after returning from reserves training. His first postwar training took him on the USS Macon. The ship traveled from New Orleans, Louisiana to Panama where the men were granted three days shore leave. From there the ship traveled to Guantanamo Bay, Cuba for gunnery exercises. Commander Jones is dressed in his military uniform.
