    John D. Devaney is retiring from the railroad after 56 years of service. Mr. Devaney spent his last 30 years as foreman at the Missouri-Kansas-Texas (M-K-T) roundhouse. He is shown during his final workday, standing by a train and smoking a cigar. Mr. Devaney is dressed in a hat, collared shirt, sweater, leather jacket, and trousers.
