Shown here are Forest Park Zoo Director Hamilton Hittson and 2-week-old Nubian lion cub Khartoum. The cub sleepily poses for his first picture in the arms of Mr. Hittson. The spotted baby lion was born on January 14 to Martha, 15-year-old lioness, and Pedro, who came to the zoo here in 1937. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram evening edition, January 30, 1947.
