    Description

    Five veterans of Pacific combat during World War II are being presented with awards for their service. All five men are patients at the United States Public Health Service (U. S. P. H. S.) Hospital. They are, left to right, Marine Sergeant Jack R. Williamson, Lieutenant James Donald Mason, Aviation Machinist's Mate Harry Willis Leaming, Machinist's Mate Dwain Irving Passow Junior, and Seaman First Class Winfred Earl Lewis. Presenting the awards at the far right is Captain E. D. McMorries. Sergeant Williamson is wearing his Marines' uniform. The other five men are dressed in Navy uniforms.
