Description
The March of Dimes is holding a fundraiser to raise awareness for polio patient care. Gerry Tanner, a six-year-old boy from Fort Worth, Texas, was diagnosed with poliomyelitis (polio) in September, 1946. His neck and back were paralyzed and he spent two weeks in the hospital. He recovered after months of therapy. He is shown playing in a wagon in the front yard of his house. He is dressed in a collared shirt, coat, and trousers.
