Alvarado High School's band tunes up in preparation for the 48th annual Johnson County Pioneers and Old Settlers Reunion. The band members are, left to right, Frank Duke, conductor, with baton in hand; Joy and Joyce Mahaney, behind the drums and blowing on the trumpets; and Billy Joe Shelton on the drums. Mr. Duke is wearing a suit. Joy and Joyce are wearing matching dresses. Billy is wearing a shirt and trousers.
