Description
The Texas State high school semifinal game is being played Saturday afternoon in Odessa, Texas. Competing for a berth into the finals are the Highland Park Scots and the Odessa Bronchos (dark jerseys). In the first quarter of the game the Scots' passer, Fred Benners, threw a quick pass to Bob Draper (21). Draper is shown catching the football in the end zone for the Scots' first score. The Bronchos defenders are Glenn Taylor (10) and Byron Townsend (27). The touchdown earned the Scots a short-lived 6-0 lead. The Odessa Bronchos went on to win the game 31-13 and win the state title.
