Gold Star Mothers (left to right) Mrs. Gus Rahr, Mrs. O. O. Black and Mrs. Iva Boydstun preparing gifts for the United States Public Health Service Hospital. The trio of mothers are shown standing around a table covered in boxes of candy for patients at the hospital. Mrs. Rahr is holding up a card given to her by Mrs. Black which is to be attached to 100 pounds of popcorn she donated. On the table is also a poster that has reads, "Gold Star Mothers", and a has a star in the middle. The women are wearing long-sleeved dresses with small name tags and hats. Mrs. Black and Mrs. Boydstun are also wearing eyeglasses.
