Texas National Guard maneuvers in Louisiana. Things are done strictly according to plan in troop maneuvers, with no guesswork. Looking over orders for the day, which tell the part their unit will play in the operation, are Captain Bulcher S. Tharp of Amarillo, Texas, commanding officer of the First Battalion, One Hundred and Thirty-first Field Artillery, at left, and Captain John L. Walton, battalion adjutant.
