Description
Texas National Guard maneuvers in Louisiana. The soldier appetite is an astounding thing after a strenuous day's activities, and mess kits come in for a hard workout. First in line for evening mess is Corporal Bill Davis of Company A, One-Hundred and Forty-Second Infantry. Next in line are Corporal Paul Chaney and Sergeant Arthur F. Gilmer of the same company, waiting for First Class Private H. S. Walker to dish out the grub. The four guardsmen are from Brownwood, Texas. Uniforms of the group have been laid aside in favor of fatigue dress.
