Description

Sheriff elect Sully Montgomery is posing with two of his chief deputies, after announcing the appointment of thirty-seven aides to his department in Tarrant County, Texas. The sheriff and his department will go into office beginning January 1, 1947. Standing against a wall, left to right, are Fred Heiser, Sheriff Montgomery, and W. W. Stallings. Deputy Heiser is a deputy constable and chief investigator. He is dressed in a double breasted, pinstripe suit. Sheriff Montgomery is wearing a suit. Deputy Stallings is the new chief deputy. He is dressed in a double breasted, pinstripe suit. Published in The Fort Worth Star-Telegram Evening Edition December 9, 1946.
