Description
With the dedication of a granite memorial, Brown County, Texas is remembering 173 residents that gave their lives in World War II. The $6,400 memorial was dedicated Sunday afternoon. Placing a wreath, left to right are E. C. Alford and Joe Pemberton. Mr. Alford is a former commander of the American Legion. He is wearing a side cap and a pinstripe suit. Mr. Pemberton was the previous commander of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He is dressed in a suit and a side cap. Published in The Fort Worth Star-Telegram Morning Edition December 09, 1946.
