Description
Noble W. Benton died on December 5, 1946 after three weeks of illness. He was eighty-seven years old. Mr. Benton moved to Fort Worth, Texas in 1924 from Oakland City, Indiana. He retired from the interior decorating business and was active in the neighborhood. He collected waste paper from homes in a thirty-block area and readied it for delivery. Rather than keeping the proceeds from his paper campaign, he donated more than $2,500 to the Meadowbrook Methodist Church. Mr. Benton is survived by two sons, a daughter, and four grandchildren. He is shown in a portrait, dressed in a suit with a bow tie.
