    Description

Garner Wells, right, is the new manager of Bowlanes, a bowling alley in Fort Worth, Texas. Mr. Wells was competing in a pot-game with other competitors when he toppled every pin in twelve consecutive rolls. The perfect 300 game was the fifth of Mr. Wells' career. He has a composite average of 201, reported to be the highest figure in Texas. Mr. Wells is shown standing with another man (unidentified) against a wall. He is wearing a collared shirt, sweater, and a blazer. Both men are smiling for the camera. Wells made his best showing nationally in the Peterson Singles Classic in 1943 when his pin total of 1722, only eight from the top, won second place. For the past 15 years he has been a resident of Dallas. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition, November 24, 1946.
