At the get-acquainted meeting of the Texas State Democratic Executive Committee in Corsicana, Mrs. Bennett Smith (right), executive committee member from Fort Worth, chatted with Mrs. R. A. Thompson, Goliad, vice chairman. They met on the grounds of the State Orphan's Home. Mrs. Thompson is wearing a dark dress with a hat and fur shawl. Mrs. Smith is wearing a suit with a dark hat and holding an overcoat and purse in her arms. There are children in uniform in the background. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram evening edition, November 12, 1946.
