Description
This is a portrait of Vergal Bourland of Vergal Bourland Home Appliances. He is head of the appliance firm. The new and modernistic home of Vergal Bourland Home Appliances at 2705 W. 7th opened Thursday with the special hours for patrons and visitors extended through Saturday. The schedule of Vergal Bourland, in making final arrangements for the opening, was frequently interrupted by numerous calls and messages extending congratulations and praising the new 80x100-foot building which features a solid show window front and a sweeping view of the showroom and sales floor through an expanse of nearly 900 square feet of glass. Centered in the showroom is the new Hot Point all-electric kitchen, described as "the housewife's dream kitchen". Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram.
