Description
Shown here is Mayor Roscoe Carnrike. He is wearing suit and tie, and a hat. He showed up bright and early at the post office Monday to buy the first airmail stamps sold here during National Airmail Week. The observance is being held this week throughout the country to advertise the new lower airmail rate and stimulate use of the service. Published in the Star-Telegram evening edition, October 28, 1946.
