Ham (Hamilton) Hittson, Director, Forest Park Zoo is pictured here. He is shown testing the temperature of the water in Bluebonnet Belle's pool at park. It is the new home for a baby hippopotamus who will arrive here soon from Memphis. She was bought last spring by Fort Worth through a Star-Telegram fund. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition, October 27, 1946.
