The Arlington Heights Methodist Church gave a party Tuesday night in honor of Reverend (Rev.) and Mrs. S. A. Barnes. Pastor of the church for the past two years, Reverend (Rev.) Mr. Barnes is retiring after 50 years in the ministry. He celebrated his birthday Tuesday, while Mrs. Barnes observed hers Sunday. They are shown standing near a table and cutting the cake. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition, October 23, 1946.
