Reverend E. B. Surface, pastor of first Presbyterian Church of Abilene, Texas, with his wife, look over a program at Hemphill Presbyterian Church. Reverend Surface is retiring moderator of the Synod which is meeting jointly with the synodical of Texas Presbyterian U.S.A. at Hemphill Presbyterian Church. He has been in the ministry for 55 years. He will be succeeded by Reverend Harry Sorrels, associate minister of City Temple, Dallas. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition, October 16, 1946.
